Statistics shows that many superiors include managers, supervisors etc, abuse their power in the workplace and that can affect employees with mental health. Mental illness in the workplace leads to decreased productivity, increased sick-related absenteeism, poor work quality, wasted materials and even compromised workplace safety. Despite the significant financial loss to employers and the broader economy, many mental disorders fly below the radar in the workplace.

I think that superiors need to understand that quality work comes with good mental health. If one is not in the good mental state, even if they finished all their works, it will only hurt the company and themselves. And about Adedapo's answer, it is indeed very hard if the problem isn't solved right from the roots. But, small steps are still improvements, and therapists are supposed to keep our information confidential. So, there shouldn't be any problem with that.
