I for one, stop for as long as I need to understand how I'm feeling, why I'm feeling that way and let myself embrace that feelings. After that I take immediate action do fix things, I try to look for other angles, perspectives
My way of coping is to take a break. It doesn't need to be a long vacation to some exotic island or anything. Pushing myself through anxiety will make me even more anxious. So, taking a short break to lift up the mood is the answer for me! It could be for ten minutes, an hour or two, or even a couple of days. Just make sure that you still have time to meet the deadline.
