I for one have been struggling with self-confidence for a long time and I can tell you that it is not easy overcoming your self-doubts. As a young girl I was not really a confident person and lacked self-awareness. I was a very shy, kept to myself and I only spoke when I was spoken to. Like most young people I was very insecure and had a low self-esteem. These feelings started affecting my work performance and studies and that’s when I noticed my lack of self confidence turned into imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is feeling like you are not as competent as others perceive you to be or feeling as if you do not belong where you are or that you do not deserve the things you’ve achieved.
How does one overcome imposter syndrome ?
Go and do that hobby you haven't done in a long time
Call someone you've not seen in a while or meet up with them; this person will be the catalyst to finding your feet as they will talk about the old you you're losing and even ask what you're up to currently thereby reminding you of yourself.
